We also got some wonderful Homura/Madoka moments, and even a great moment with Kyoko/Sayaka.
I was just too angry last night to say anything good about the film, haha
(I'm still angry, by the way)
I should have mentioned last night that the film DID contain some astonishing visuals and animation; the fight between Homura and Mami was jaw-dropping, and the finale was spectacular too. #madokamagica#rebellion
... but the complete and utter betrayal of Homura's character will remain a huge stain on this story, either way. There were ways to get to that ending without completely changing who she is as a person. #madokamagica#rebellion
The way it was executed was absolutely wrong and unforgivable, though. Again, if they intended all along that this was simply the middle act in a trilogy, then I still hold out hope for a happy ending ... #madokamagica#rebellion
Madoka became, essentially, God, after all, and so having the love of her life become the Devil is ironic and tragic or whatever. There's a duality there I can understand a writer finding appealing. #madokamagica#rebellion
