Some D Senate candidates may run ahead of Biden (MT and KS seem likely), but Biden winning the Senate battleground states is the surest path to Senate control in a polarized electorate.

Neither GA or IA seem like tipping point states for the presidential election, but Biden's investments there are incredibly important for Senate control. In 2012, six states split their votes for president and Senate. In 2016, none did. 1/2

“Almost every Democratic operative I’ve spoken with in the past few weeks remains petrified that Biden is going to bungle the debates in a way that costs him the election...” https://t.co/fDHWrRH99y

FEINSTEIN on ending filibuster and expanding SCOTUS: “I don't believe in doing that. I think the filibuster serves a purpose. It is not often used, it's often less used now than when I first came, and I think it's part of the Senate that differentiates itself.” ht @DanielPFlatley

Not good enough. https://t.co/i5IAIAQVFY

Mueller should have said Trump obstructed justice, member of Russia probe team says. https://t.co/wpCKxoX61F

Many things to be disappointed about in here. One is how strikingly clear it is that Mueller wasn’t really running the investigation, at least not in the sense that he used to run things. https://t.co/OHtGET1NzQ

1. I forgot how good this was. 2. Everyone underestimates the extent to which the Kavanaugh experience has radicalized fair minded conservatives when it comes to court fights. https://t.co/Zw0SCAIwLt

Remember there are thousands of utterly forgettable factotums who operate the ground level machinery of the GOP who are as morally implicated as Trump, for the death and misery we're enduring. https://t.co/VDOuTwxbVs

We tackled RBG's legacy and the fight to fill her seat, Barr's latest acts of blatant politicization at DOJ, and much more on the new @talkingfedspod with @harrylitman @alfranken & @NatashaBertrand. https://t.co/AI8UIXVguw

Mueller deputy Weissmann to George Packer: 'There’s no question I was frustrated at the time. There was more that could be done that we didn’t do." Read the whole story here: https://t.co/VTC6zTwfX6

Well this is frustrating. To say the least. https://t.co/y8eMzN9MZA

🚨 IOWA POLL: Democrat Theresa Greenfield leads Republican Sen. Joni Ernst 45% to 42% in U.S Senate race. MOE +/- 3.8 percentage points. https://t.co/jPR7asrDvR

My statement on the Supreme Court vacancy: https://t.co/jvYyDN5gG4

A statement to get her through Election Day. Don’t for a second believe she will stick to it if McConnell needs her to be the deciding vote in December. https://t.co/0L5YmrCjpF

You'll savor every word of this @NinaTotenberg remembrance of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She loved gossip! She didn't know how to use the oven. And, oh, the warmth. https://t.co/fOpJYlufoS

Quoted @ShaneGoldmacher

NEWS: Democratic donors shattered ActBlue's all-time record for donations in an hour after Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died. Democrats gave $6.2 million in the 9 pm hour. Then they broke the record again in 10 pm hour. More than $100,000 per minute. https://t.co/NeNG52PUnY

Keep it up, people. Everything is at stake in this election. Everything. https://t.co/0FNfjQVuBg

Sen. Lindsey Graham justifies his treatment of Merrick Garland: "If an opening comes in the last year of President Trump's term, and the primary process has started, we'll wait to the next election" https://t.co/E8N7a8IlIG

God bless Justice Ginsburg. She was a true American hero.

Quoted @danielsgoldman

It’s always unwise to worry about statute of limitations at the beginning of an investigation because people who think they are getting away with crimes usually don’t stop. This must be a criminal investigation. Will Barr uphold the rule of law against Trump’s allies? https://t.co/X3PAFdG0qG

Stop criminalizing politics by using vague federal criminal statutes to concoct fanciful new legal theories.* *clear criminal statutes that have been used to prosecute multiple officials from both political parties. https://t.co/3r2IoFBV25

I enjoy how Biden’s answers are often to describe something Trump has done followed by a non-vulgar version of WTF. Not much more that needs to be said, really.
