Downtown barriers and traffic restrictions set up last week will remain, but will be assessed on a daily basis over coming days.

The curfew that has been in place since Sept. 23 has expired as of 6:30 this morning. We appreciate that most protests over the past several days have been peaceful. Thanks to @LMPD for their hard work in planning & executing this protest detail.

If you are out tonight, please begin heading home now. Louisville Metro will again be under a curfew at 9 tonight (9/27) as part of our efforts to balance First Amendment rights with the need for public safety. https://t.co/f36p9sZB8l

Wishing an easy and meaningful fast to everyone in our city who is observing Yom Kippur. G’mar Chatimah Tovah

The curfew resumes at 9 tonight (9/27). This is part of our efforts to balance our responsibility to keep everyone — protesters, first responders and bystanders — safe, while providing people the time and space to voice their calls for racial justice and equity during the day. https://t.co/joHPB99rPm

Thanks to those who have demonstrated peacefully, especially the many who did so in daylight and then headed home by curfew. And thanks to @LMPD for continuing to provide security necessary to ensure peaceful protests, as well as working to keep people and property safe.

Curfew resumes at 9 tonight. This helps us balance our responsibility to keep everyone — protesters, first responders and bystanders — safe, while still allowing people the time and space to voice their calls for racial justice and equity during the day. https://t.co/FszRdhSc5E

We are working to balance the First Amendment rights to peacefully protest with the need for public safety. As I announced yesterday, we will again be under a county-wide curfew from 9 tonight (9/24) to 6:30am. https://t.co/wC5wuQz7GZ

Our thoughts are with @LMPD Maj. Aubrey Gregory and Officer Robinson Desroches as they recover from their injuries. Violence will only be a source of pain, not a cure for pain. Public safety & the work for racial equity & justice can & must coexist. https://t.co/ikkWBjkkDt

Our hearts go out to the two @LMPD officers who were shot. Please pray for them and their families, & pray for our city, and all who are in pain today. For anyone who is still out, please go home tonight. Violence doesn't get us closer to a fair, just and equitable city. https://t.co/fDTZkjIROj

Our city will be under a curfew beginning at 9 tonight (9/23) until 6:30am. It's important for everyone in our community to be safe, as much of the unfortunate violence that's occurred in recent months has happened overnight. Please begin heading home. https://t.co/wC5wuQz7GZ

I am now addressing the @kyoag's announcement regarding the Breonna Taylor case. Please join us now. https://t.co/aJXHOOL10C
