Being rigorous doesn't have to mean being unkind. It is absolutely possible to set high expectations and then be kind and encouraging as you help people to work toward them.

Reminder: slow is better than no progress at all. Just keep chipping away, and be kind to yourself.

Well I got my short piece on labour’s campaign on the #SKVotes2020 election in on time. I chalk this up to @loleen_berdahl’s leadership and reputation for setting firm deadlines :)

Attending a panel recapping Saskatchewan election. Hosted by @JSGSPP & @PrairiePSA Panelists include @loleen_berdahl and former NDP MLA Danielle Chartier and former Sask Party MLA/Cabinet Minister Kevin Docherty.

Hey #skpoli #cdnpoli followers - be sure to sign up for today's @PrairiePSA and @JSGSPP session on the recent SK election. Is the SK Party now the natural governing party? Why is the urban-rural split so strong? Join us to discuss! #PPSAPresents https://t.co/kERJtpt0yz

Last week I chucked stuff from courses & made things more flexible & gave students more options. Today I asked them what else they needed, & they asked me to tell other profs about it. So here I am. It's a pandemic. None of us is operating at normal capacity. Ditch some shit. https://t.co/WotD5j1OqI

My former colleague @Clifton_Mark put together some polished, interesting and fun political philosophy recordings @goodintheorypod . https://t.co/aVAnlR8RSd

This podcast is great, and very fun. Strongly recommend! https://t.co/pEmp0Ycbh6

To be clear for people who don’t follow Saskatchewan politics (gasp!), the right of centre party is considerably behind the left of centre party on the mail ballots, which is the opposite of the in person ballots.

Some more details from @ElectionsSask: Workers counted mail-in ballots from 36 of 61 constituencies. Of the 1,065 mail ballots counted for Saskatoon-Meewasin that gave @ryanmeili a 200+ vote lead over Sask. Party's Rylund Hunter, 658 went to NDP, 366 to Sask. Party. #skpol

Interesting to see the vote split on the mail in ballots. #PoliticalScience folks: is this typical? #PoliSci #cdnpolisci #PoliSciTwitter https://t.co/r6HFBqnxsH

Here's an interactive quiz where you can guess whether someone supports Biden or Trump by their fridge. I did surprisingly poorly. https://t.co/Bj3aguGIDf

Careful - this quiz is a bit addictive. https://t.co/EK7kKNyA8O

In personal news, I turn 50 today. In celebration, I am posting 50 things that I’ve learned over the years. (0/50)

Lots of great life lessons in this thread. (But I disagree about The Breakfast Club.) https://t.co/A4kbVxo7Qi

If you’re completely confident over and over about what you’re doing, it might be time to move on to something new.(23/50) https://t.co/YqYlsoMJqX

This has been my career approach. While it means continually feeling like I am starting over, it is never boring. https://t.co/RA3tKZeFeh
