once i fully embraced self id as a model, i started being able to thrive as my gender, because no matter how many times ppl misgender me, i can still feel at home with myself. it still hurts, but the power to identify me ?? that is *mine*

self id also means that people who don't "pass" bc they can't or don't want to are still just as valid identifying outside of their agab (hello thats me hi !! and there are many ppl like me !!)

please don't underestimate how important self id is, especially if you live in a country where you can get hormones/care under the informed consent model. THAT IS LITERALLY SELF ID.
