I can heartily recommend living next door to a recipe tester. Not only do they always have any obscure ingredient you can think of, they also regularly drop round dishes which they had to make.

Barnier is so much better at English than Francois.

That's because English is my second language. My first is PATRIOTISM.

"Even if it's a baby step at a time. Even a snail's pace. But I'm hoping it will continue in the right direction. Even at a snail's pace, I don't care" Michael Holding fights back tears as he recalls the prejudice faced by his parents.

A very decent man, as well as one of the best cricketers to have played the game.

As a parent, is there anything as heart-warming as hearing your young child laugh?

Regarding the #RussianReport, Johnson was claiming he needed six weeks to consider it when it was completed. This interview was conducted last year.

Extraordinary colourised film of HALIFAX in 1902.

Not dissimilar to today in Halifax.

Mark Francois to Britain's top general: "Cummings is gonna come down and sort you out his own way and you won't like it" Confirming the country is under the control of an unelected dictator.

Says the four year TA Lieutenant to one of Britain's top Generals.

@brianmoore666 Seen this @brianmoore666 ex front row not a dissimilar age to you attempting a cycling world record for an amazing charity. He’s out there right now.

Getting miles into my legs on the bike but still not good at hills. My legs are obviously not as strong as I thought, but I'm determined to get there.

Farmers were left disappointed when MPs in the Commons voted to reject an amendment to enshrine in law the government’s manifesto commitment that it would not accept imports of food products produced to lower welfare standards, today it reaches the Lords.

This might come as a shock to some of you.

@brianmoore666 I've just googled for loads of British serial killers, then realised if any of my family die - my search history is bound to be brought up in court. Just putting this here as evidence that I was only looking for their star signs your honour

That is just the sort of thing a serial killer would do.

Quoted @mrjamesob

"Policies designed to prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed pushed a greater burden onto care homes. With hospitals given priority by the government, care homes struggled to get access to tests and protective equipment."

British prime minister @BorisJohnson shifts the blame : “We discovered too many care homes didn’t really follow the procedures in the way that they could have but we’re learning lessons the whole time.” As our report showed, t procedure was to put interests of carers below NHS

As an Aquarius......I'll just leave this here.

No Capricorns.......

The government is under pressure to explain why an obscure finance business Ayanda Capital was awarded a £252.5 million government contract to supply face masks to the NHS and care workers, despite having no track record. @HCSAprocurement

And Grayling wasn't even involved - they're just institutionally bent.

The irony of the Ayn Rand Institute being bailed out by taxpayers cannot be understated

An irony that would be delicious, were it not for the hypocrisy.

Please take a moment to listen to this *glorious* rendition of Elgar's Nimrod, performed virtually by Oxford's NHS Radcliffe Orchestra to celebrate the NHS's 72nd birthday. It really is quite something 💙🎼🎈

A sublime tune and a good cause; what more do you need?

Farewell Ennio Morricone - RIP.

People saying Free Solo is more amazing tham Dawn Wall - both amazing, but I disagree. Free Solo was about a feat on an established route, albeit without ropes. Dawn Wall was about a feat that most people agreed was impossible before it was done.
