Planned next weeks English lessons based around stimuli from the Literacy shed. Such a high quality set of resources and such variety. Thank you again @redgierob 🙌🏻 https://t.co/NMFutosYDJ

I wrote down 5 aims at the start of this academic year. They’re big aims, optimistic maybe, but they’ve provided me with focus, motivation & joy over the past two weeks. The impact the goals have had on my mental health is massive. The necessity of aim is so evident.

There should be a picture of Mars bar brownies on my feed rn but they got eaten in the staff room before I could take a photo. They were good. 🙌🏻

I’m in such a positive space since going back to work, the routine has done wonders. Certain that won’t be the case for everyone- as ever, if you do need to chat or vent, my DMs are always open. They’re also open to share your mini victories too! 💛

I say ‘no worries’ far too much for someone who is approx. 94% worry

How I’d teach rounding. May be useful to some people. https://t.co/YnFAneZFLe

Looking for an interesting way to present a written recount for LKS2. Anyone done anything that worked well?

Partner teacher just sent me this- fair to say we are pretty excited for Friday afternoon PPA tomorrow! https://t.co/AkxDZOI14r

Today we were using retrieval skills in our reading session. True or false? questions are really great for this. Present a statement and ask the class to use evidence from the text to support their decision. Simple but quick-fire & keeps their heads in the book.

Really proud of how our Year 3 RE floor book is taking shape so far this year. We’ve had some fab lessons on what makes us special, why God loves us and the dignity of the individual :) Can’t wait to keep filling it. #YearOfTheWord https://t.co/E8aWvlVuqs

Throw out pens that don’t work. When you have a task you’re dreading that needs to be done, a faulty pen will always add to the time it takes to get started and your frustration at the task.

It’s that day that’s 100 days from that day with presents, excess chocolate, tinsel and a baby in a manger- just in case you like that day.

I’m not really one to get overly emotional at books, particularly reading aloud. I’m often challenged or left reflective by them but the power in the message of this book and the way they were soaking it up was really moving this afternoon.

Almost choked up reading this one to my class today as we spent sometime thinking about why God loves them & what makes them so special.

The story is a beautifully illustrated conversation between a son and his father about commitment, love & their unbreakable bond. 💛 https://t.co/Nej1Q26HfM

Today my parents got rid of this sofa from their house. It’s been host to such laughter and offered comfort in deep hurt. We’ve always loved it & we’re all pretty sad about saying goodbye to it.

Am I alone? Do you have that object in your house you were so sad to let go of? https://t.co/dv1CA4eu1J
