Several changes to the NBA schedule:

Several changes to the NBA schedule:

Half of NBA, 15 teams, now can’t trade a 1st round pick for multiple years. Seven teams can’t trade any right now. This reality may have profound effect on trades for awhile:

Brandon Ingram: "We have to shoot more 3s."

SVG said the zone in the 3rd quarter was as simple as trying to show Utah another look because they “were scoring on every possession.”

Stan Van Gundy says the team will look at making schematic adjustments when asked about the amount of 3-pointers the team is giving up. Says coaches have to help as well and put players in better spots, while also saying players have to play harder and just be better at times.

From @ESPNStatsInfo: Pelicans have a -6.31 made 3s per game differential this season (128 3s made vs 210 3s allowed in 13 games). That is on pace to be the worst in a season since the 3-point line was established in 1979-80. The 2015-16 Bucks have the worst mark at -3.96.

From @ESPNStatsInfo: Tonight marks the 3rd time this season they recorded a made 3-point differential of -15 or worse in a game. The rest of the league has 5 such games combined (no team with more than 1 such game).

FROM @EliasSports: Zion is the youngest player in NBA history with consecutive games of 30 points on at least 70% FG pct. He's also the first player to do this at all in Pelicans history. 2021 Zion Williamson: 20-197 2007 Dwight Howard: 21-63 1993 Shaquille O'Neal: 21-248

FINAL: Jazz 118, Pels 102 - Zion: 32p, 14/19 FG, 4/6 FT, 5r, 3a - Ingram: 17p, 8/18 FG, 0/1 3P, 4a, 3r, 2b - Jazz: 21/47 3P - Pels: 6/26 3P Pels and Jazz play again in Utah on Thursday.

It got to the point where @WillGuillory @ScottDKushner and @RodWalkerNola couldn't make eye contact if he said it in a presser because we'd laugh. It was a go-to line.

Perfect basketball time?

Whenever the Pelicans went down big, but fought back and cut it to single digits but couldn't pull out the win because they used too much energy to come back... Alvin Gentry called that a perfect storm.

One time for old times sake:

The zone didn't help. Pels down 91-69 heading to the 4th. Jazz: 17/40 from 3 Pels: 3/16 from 3

@_Andrew_Lopez didn’t he make a jumper in the first quarter?

He did but it was in the lane.

@_Andrew_Lopez Well atleast dribble drives are taken out, that's whats killing them all game

Good point. But your rotations haven't exactly been the sharpest. Maybe focusing in on that helps? I don't know.
