Inclusive language plays a critical role in fostering an environment where everyone belongs. At Twitter, the language we have been using in our code does not reflect our values as a company or represent the people we serve. We want to change that. #WordsMatter https://t.co/JVO8968B7K

Inspiring conversation with @d_lux_brand and @sfciti on combatting racial inequality.

“In order for a company to be successful at inclusion and diversity, the work has to be embedded in all aspects. In pay equity, in procurement, in supplier diversity.”

Juneteenth is a celebration. It’s about our freedom. And within that freedom is our joy. #BlackJoy is a form of resistance. https://t.co/yyVBdAM0nf

Juneteenth represents freedom, emancipation, and liberation. To celebrate #Juneteenth is to know Black history. It's to know American history. And it’s to understand the work doesn’t stop here. Here are voices and resources to keep you going. And here’s why... 🧵 https://t.co/NsNi6aFKmz

Throughout May, we worked with over 60 global mental health partners to challenge mental health stigma & promote resources for those facing stress during #COVID19. Read about some of the creative ways partners used Twitter for #MentalHealthAwareness 👇 https://t.co/bvvvdelRzX

We know there’s much work to be done — we’re committed to playing our part. We back the voices in the US and around the globe calling for change. We hope these steps and the public conversation on Twitter can further empower the movement. https://t.co/yOqhweYpcl

We ended all donations to political campaigns in 2018, and we’re redirecting the remaining $100,000 this election year to nonpartisan organizations focused on voter turnout and civic engagement in underrepresented communities.

We’re dedicating $270,000 in #AdsForGood grants to 13 nonprofit organizations to amplify Black voices on Twitter. This commitment ensures we’re elevating messages of equality and sharing stories with those who might not normally see them based on who they follow.

Additionally, we’re making a $250,000 grant split between @eji_org & @NABJ. We're continuing our support of @NABJ, a leading advocate for Black journalists and their stories, and backing @eji_org’s mission to end mass incarceration, excessive punishment, & racial inequality.

The journey to becoming better allies is a marathon. When we consciously and consistently choose to learn, ask, show up, and speak up, we will drive positive change for racial equity, for #BlackLivesMatter

We've also set up a $1 million fund to match Twitter employee donations through our Allyship Right Now work and have lifted our donation cap for this campaign. We’ve already matched nearly $300,000 in employee contributions. https://t.co/w6YuJN65rO

Today we launch Talking About Race, a new online portal designed to help individuals, families, and communities talk about racism, racial identity and the way these forces shape every aspect of American culture. Learn more: https://t.co/mq9SzLjob8 #APeoplesJourney #ANationsStory

To elevate @NMAAHC’s #TalkingAboutRace educational work, we’re donating a Promoted Trend Spotlight on June 14, as well as the #BlackLivesMatter emoji — approximately $1 million in pro bono premium ads. https://t.co/Pmh3l2q912

We've curated a list. Diversify Your Feed to amplify voices from underrepresented communities and marginalized groups. To assist allies and potential allies in their journey of learning. To stand in solidarity. #BlackLivesMatter https://t.co/YlbBcP1f84
