Barrett has three years of experience as a federal judge, serving on the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals since 2017. In those three years, Barrett has already ruled on two abortion-related cases, both times favoring restrictions on access to abortion. Here's more on those cases:

PS2/ Remember that Nixon ultimately found his Bork—a man without conscience or principle or loyalty to the United States. By the same token, if Trump attempts a coup and generals resign en masse, he *will* ultimately find a soldier who places Trump above God and country. He will.

PS/ What I don't think the generals understand yet is that resigning *isn't an option*. If those soldiers who refuse to follow an illegal order simply resign, Trump wins—as he'll just watch one soldier after another resign until he gets to the one who'll follow his illegal order.

PS/ 2020 amirite

I hang onto good, #inspiring news like this for mainly selfish reasons. I recommend this practice wholeheartedly, especially now: Not old enough to vote, but old enough to help: How teens are helping to avert an election crisis https://t.co/slO36qV6UQ via @USATODAY

Sen. Doug Jones, vulnerable Alabama Democrat: “I will not support the confirmation of any Supreme Court justice nominee, regardless of who it might be. I will not support that nominee before the outcome of the November 3 election has been determined,” per @alizaslav

FACT-CHECK: Team Trump capitalized on a tiny ballot incident in Pennsylvania to claim there is widespread “voter fraud” and that Democrats are “stealing the election.” These are baseless accusations, detached from the known facts of what happened in PA. https://t.co/mRqVwiFJIe

I wrote a thread a couple days ago about everyone using whatever skills they have to help America in its moment of crisis. I'll try to highlight examples as I encounter them. My first example was a Twitter comedian; this example is a band (@WyldOldeSouls): https://t.co/IDGXn1dcEG

MORE/ The man most likely to be behind the QAnon terrorist movement is this rando (Watkins) from the Phillipines, who—in case it isn't crystal clear—has no special access to anything but, I'm guessing, the psychedelic mushrooms he accidentally left under a sofa cushion last week. https://t.co/VtGkUOqBt2

MORE/ "The two Americans most clearly associated with [the 'Q Drops' of the QAnon cult] are James Arthur Watkins and his son, Ronald Watkins, former 8chan administrator and current administrator of its successor, 8kun. Since 2001, Watkins has been living in the Philippines."

Asked by media if he was "secretly saving the world from a satanic cult of pedophiles and cannibals," Trump replied, "If I can help save the world from problems, I'm willing to do it. I'm willing to put myself out there." He couldn't even say it was a lie. https://t.co/d0OMfJN0Rx

From Myanmar to Canada, people are asking: How was a superpower like the U.S. felled by a virus? And why won’t the president commit to a peaceful transition of power? We talked to people around the world about how they see America today. https://t.co/vOrO644W4v

BREAKING: Trump Turns Once Great Nation into Object of Pity Worldwide https://t.co/4Z234cyqRJ

PS2/ This last point bears repeating: the moment that it was revealed that Trump was planning a coup, *no attorney in America* could ethically accept his nomination for the Supreme Court. It is a violation of the Rules of Professional Conduct, in my view, for anyone to do so now.

PS/ It's telling that Barrett is the only finalist to have met with Trump—who knows what sort of loyalty oath was demanded. Certainly, anyone who accepts this nomination does so a) knowing it's a stolen seat, b) beholden to Trump, c) knowing themselves a weapon in a coup attempt.

MY TAKE 1⃣ The Senate GOP is a Trumpist cult—there's no point in trying to peel off GOP votes for Barrett. 2⃣ Democrats must do everything within their power to stop a preelection vote on Barrett. 3⃣ If Biden wins, at least 5 SCOTUS seats must be added—4 for redress, 1 punitive.

Before you object to Amy Coney Barrett joining the Supreme Court, do your research. (See below.) Then object. Don't hold back. Horrible choice. Dangerous choice.https://t.co/pxDiT8C5gL
