To slow down the spread of the virus, restaurants in South Africa have to close by 9pm in accordance with tighter government restrictions. However, restaurant owners are pleading for leniency as the sector continues to suffer from permanent closures and loss of livelihoods https://t.co/o63bnptwY8

  • @Reuters Hi Reuters - just for clarity the restaurants actually have to close at 8pm to enable everyone to get home before 9pm curfew starts.

  • @Reuters I don't understand this in South Africa or anywhere else. If someplace is #COVID19 safe at noon it's #COVID19 safe at midnight. You might get mugged at midnight and there's a reason why they picked THAT cook to work the "graveyard" shift, but they don't have @DennysDiner there?
