President Trump and his campaign often share manipulated videos on social media. It is defended as humor, but his supporters aren’t always in on the joke. @donie fact-checked a fake, viral video with a supporter. https://t.co/Tp1ENsDt8b https://t.co/11Hlgm5Vav
Please watch this. Proof that many Trump supporters are decent people that are being manipulated. There are too many reasons to think Trump & his gang are monsters but this one struck a chord for me. Maddening and profoundly disrespectful. This isn't politics. This is treason. https://t.co/4GQDXelHNW
When Republican Senator Rand Paul said New York's high death rate from coronavirus showed that social-distancing measures fall short, Dr. Anthony Fauci replied, ‘You've misconstrued that, Senator, and you've done that repetitively in the past’ https://t.co/45YzP5gqRu https://t.co/huArgSWnIg
“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’” -Isaac Asimov https://t.co/3DgLl8uY3q
Reporter: "Win, lose or draw in this election, will you commit here today for a peaceful transferal of power after the election?" President Trump: "We're going to have to see what happens." https://t.co/h5RF3dKPD1
THREAD. It is important to take note and be prepared for the unprecedented actions Trump says he intends to take after the election. But it is also important not to allow his *wishful* reality to *become the reality. To do that, consider Trump's psychological POV right now: https://t.co/faXkQw2BMn
I wonder if New York’s Attorney General @TishJames will go after Hunter Biden now that We know he took $3.5 million from the wife of the mayor of Moscow a known PUTIN associate? You would think that’d be something they’d be interested in... that and the sex trafficking!
trump jr signed the first two checks to reimburse michael cohen, after putting trump’s properties into a revocable trust. a month later, trump gave himself personal access to the trust. then the checks came from trump personally. Manhattan DA is looking into this, Jr. Not NYAG. https://t.co/mgmCwO9yNL
"Get rid of the ballots and you'll have a very peaceful -- there won't be a transfer, frankly, there'll be a continuation" [He is apparently referring to mail ballots but there are not a lot of qualifiers here] https://t.co/rEhe0vSgWq
By his own admission, Trump wants the federal judiciary to nullify enough absentee ballots to hand him a second term. He intends to select a Supreme Court justice who will help him achieve this goal. He wants SCOTUS to help him steal the election. None of this is even debatable. https://t.co/w8ldrVlCzt
When Trump tells you what he is going to do, believe him. He doesn't commit to a peaceful transfer of power, and believes that the Supreme Court nomination is essential for his retaining power. If this was in any other country, we'd be discussing the risk of fascism. https://t.co/X590XEvz7Z
History will remember what you do now. This is it. This is the red line. https://t.co/tak4OvXYrG
The President is asked to commit to a peaceful transfer of power and his answer falls incredibly short https://t.co/y8XbL8ci9k
Seriously, we cannot let this one slide as just another crazy thing the crazy president crazily said because he's a crazy norm-breaking crazy guy. This is beyond norm-breaking or lib-owning. This one should be the red line for even the die-hards. This is the moment. https://t.co/ll3Ki77Mte
It seems like the mood among some of the blue-checkmarks here has drifted a bit too liberally from "there's a plausible chance of some very bad outcomes" (true) to "Trump is fersure going to steal the election and you're all sheeple for thinking otherwise".
Imagine thinking that Trump saying "I was wrong when I claimed the only way I could lose the election was if it was rigged, and my loss to Biden was legitimate" is more plausible than Trump attempting to overthrow the results of the 2020 election. https://t.co/bLFxxgrDnU
A scene reminiscent to many @CIA ops officers stationed in troubled failing nations around the world--roving armed gangs not affiliated with the government but with a political faction or viewpoint. This is Louisville. https://t.co/6O1HaIVQsi
