“For centuries we’ve had an issue with police brutality and policing in black and brown communities.” What @MalcolmJenkins does off the field is nothing short of incredible. He continues his fight for social justice in America.

OFFICER DEMOTED @PhillyPolice Deputy Commissioner Dennis Wilson says he violated protocol by calling for the use of tear gas on protesters who were on 676 expressway June 1. He offered to take a voluntary demotion immediately. @6abc #GeorgeFloyd #PhillyProtests

NFL star @MalcolmJenkins is producing a documentary series on the history of Black wealth in America (EXCLUSIVE)

We’ve seen examples of communities of black wealth in America, they’ve just all been eliminated systemically or violently. Take this journey with me as I utilize my HARVARD Fellowship to unearth this piece of AMERICAN history.

So I just told a police officer wielding a baton that im a reporter. He told me to “put this on Twitter”. Then he tightly handcuffed me with zip ties and he and another one mocked me while dragging me backward down two flights of stairs along with few dozen others arrested in MSB

#DefundThePolice #Reallocatefundingfromthepolice #abolishthepolice Whichever way you want to say it, we have to minimize this authoritarian force and invest in our citizens. @PhillyMayor

“I think the anxiety is about the phrase, but actually not anxiety about the concept.”- @Sifill_LDF on defunding the police. #LSSC

Thank you @StephenAtHome for the conversation about policing reform and the chance to speak candidly about what “defunding the police” really means. @colbertlateshow

This question from Robin Diangelo, author of WHITE FRAGILTY, is key. Thanks for putting this on national nighttime television, @jimmyfallon.

This is #RayshardBrooks, in his own words. In this heartbreaking interview filmed just four months ago, Brooks speaks about the agony of being trapped in a prison reentry and probation system that won’t let him get back on his feet.

We have to do better... dismantle the system (police, prisons, probation, etc) and create a new one that works. We’ve failed Rayshard Brooks and all those like him. 🙏🏾

George Stinney Jr. He was fourteen. Three months after being arrested, he was executed on this day in 1944. They used a bible as a booster seat when they sat him in the electric chair. Seventy years later, he was exonerated for the murder of 2 white girls.

I have a longform @BleacherReport series beginning Friday that asks athletes two questions. 1. When did you realize being black meant something different than being white? 2. Define the word America. Can’t wait to share ♥️
