Today on the anniversary of the shooting of 6 officers, a quiet memorial was held. The families of slain officers, and of slain black men and women do not differ in their pain. Let us work to stop discrimination of all. https://t.co/OpTF0RxI8J

Voted with some friends today. Don't forget there is still another week of early voting! https://t.co/eVcFHTMxTF

We had live music in the neighborhood yesterday, and enjoyed the 4th of July. Then I took dessert to all, and reminded them to early vote. Practice you civic duty and celebrate independence with your vote. https://t.co/XDHY46MDjP

So honored to have moderated a virtual town hall conversation with some of the Dallas County constables and former constable. https://t.co/oh7cLL8xL3

Police reform is an idea whose time has come. Change is difficult but necessary. So let us come to the table knowing that nobody will get everything they want. But hopefully at least de-escalation training, officer accountability, and mental health teams will be considered.

I have been so proud of North Texas! The otherwise, thought to be uninvolved suburban cities have shown to care and show support.

Congrats to the Texas Democratic Party for a successful first ever virtual convention! Although we miss the socialization that usually comes with the convention, we are strong believers in keeping our people safe. Thanks to all the hard working people that made it possible! https://t.co/AeYaqdAoaP

Both groups are trying to bring about change by force, but we have to also bring fairness and justice! Arresting the officers responsible for the death of Mr. George Floyd, and bringing them to justice, will exert greater change than broken glass and aimless destruction.

Violence and destruction are never the answer! Some people get upset when someone shows up to an "open the businesses" rally with automatic weapons and a rebel flag. Likewise, some people get upset when a peaceful demonstration pivots into mayhem...

We lost a strong voice and activist in Larry Kramer today. Although we never met, our paths and works often did. He will be missed. https://t.co/OY7oJrJnV5

We’ve come a long way. 1976 was the last gender-segregated class to become officers in the Army. The Women’s Army Corp was eventually dissolved, and today there is only one US Army. I was honored to have been a part (2nd row, far left); one of only a hand full of minority women. https://t.co/0ZfwZuSNb5

My little 17 year old got tired on our new route. Three and 1/2 miles, with lots of trekking uphill. So I had to carry him 🐶 ❤️ https://t.co/LSyDnMCliB

The look I get from my 17 year old dog when in my quarantine stage I start dancing in the kitchen. https://t.co/9sc3zMWhEn

The neat thing about trying out all these new recipes is that it is never for a single serving. So, I get to share with my neighbors! https://t.co/WCjrWcAXTb

Wow, Luther's case made it to the Texas Supreme Court in just 24 hrs while others have to wait months or years. But we very clearly know how this administration works. I wonder who in Luther's circle, or which of her clients, is a big donor to this administration’s campaign?

Wouldn't it be nice to get to politics where both parties come to the table and address disagreements? https://t.co/gNeWflOs2z

It’s funny how our Republican elected officials believe 7 days in jail is excessive for someone who violated a state covid-19 mandate, yet 5 years is okay for a woman who mistakingly voted while on parole...
