It's weird how the "don't have kids if you can't afford them" crowd went quiet when Johnson was whining about having to pay child support to his 7-9 that we know of

They will say “too soon” so you need to keep asking. Every time Every interview. And if they come up with a response, you need to ask them if those benefits outweigh the costs, and set those out to them. Come on, journalists. Do some journalism.

Come January, any journalist that doesn’t ask Gove, Raab, Johnson, Rees-Mogg etc “Minister, what tangible benefits are the people of this country now seeing since we left the EU?” in every single interview, is failing at their job.

There could be a good reality TV show where all the folk who want to show how they can make a nutritious meal for 25p get together and cook their dishes in a shipping container that we drop onto the floor of the Atlantic Ocean at its very deepest point

The government steering (twice!) into a PR disaster about school meals seems inexplicable. I wonder if the idea that poor people have too many children and are feckless is actually a fairly core part of how a lot of conservatives see the world.

Quoted @blakeyblogs

Re PM response to @MarcusRashford - "There has been communication between the two" - @MattHancock tells @BBCBreakfast

Nothing to see here. Just another BBC journalist pretending he believes his role to be uncritically repeating government lines. Had he waited a few minutes he'd have found out that Marcus Rashford disputes this, but that's not how client journalism works. https://t.co/IXLyTEsdhw

So are Oleg and Sergei a couple? Have we established that? Otherwise who's children are those?

@GlennyRodge @WhiteRhinoTea That was supposed to say “pun kings” obviously.

I have heard more than one adult refer to Halloween “punkings”. I don’t know if it’s a Brummie thing. I am fairly sure they mean “pumpkin” and, of course, I reserve the title of “pun king” for @GlennyRodge and @WhiteRhinoTea

The rhythm section of the Red Hot Chili Peppers have never looked more like lost Chuckle Brothers than in Flea’s Instagram post from today. (I had to wait until British people were awake to post this) https://t.co/Gz1yZlXDcY

God knows why but I've decided to put me and my brother's no-fi band 'Braxton Hicks UK' on streaming services. We take on The Jam here, and our destruction of a Beatles song should be available Thursday! "'A' Bomb In Wardour Street" by Braxton Hicks UK https://t.co/NVGzzPU1c0

Britain: - Citizens pay tax. - The government squanders it on friends, follies & fairground rides then say there's no money for those in desperate need. - Citizens are forced to seek charitable donations. - Government takes credit for bringing people together & the Dunkirk Spirit

Your daily reminder that the 322 Tory MPs who voted against feeding kids facing genuine food poverty, between them claimed £11,031,894.61 in EXPENSES in 11 months of 2019-20. That's more than £1m a month. How many kids meal vouchers would it buy? #StopChildrenGoingHungry

Instagram adverts: providing neat solutions to problems I simply don’t have.

"Help, I've fallen into the sea and I'm drowning!" "Tip: a £2.99 umbrella held aloft over one's head thusly provides a cheap and effective way to avoid getting wet."

Just in case anyone is confused. https://t.co/IrvNo1ZICv

“Why don’t working class parents just sell their pearls?” isn’t something I expected to read today, but there we are. https://t.co/1cKcnhG6mL
