Dylan Bundy might be one of the best under-the-radar winter acquisitions — and just what the #LAAngels need. 1.57 ERA with an assortment of 80-something (mph) pitches

With Buffalo hosting MLB tonight I wanted to share some of the city's Negro Leagues history with you!

Cutch with the history lesson. Very cool! @TheCUTCH22

My top 3 NL players rated (all on the West Coast). GM on hot seat (also on West Coast). Trout love. Can anyone stop NYY? Mattingly interview. Will we see Gore, Mize, Kelenic and other top prospects? With @tonygwynnjr

Alonso unites with his brother-in-law Manny Machado in San Diego. MM has underperformed so far in San Diego. Family can’t hurt.

Yonder Alonso is back with the Padres. They got him from the Braves for cash considerations (aka money) @dennistlin 1st

Andres Gimenez has to play every day. Rosario at SS, AG at 2B is a great combo. #mets

Mets final bids are due Aug. 31 confirmed. Appears to be between Steve Cohen, Harris-Blitzer and Arod-Jlo. @Sportico 1st

Charlie Blackmon, who’s hitting .484, assuming he maintains his pace of exactly 4 at-bats per game, needs to hit .369 the rest of the way to become the first since Ted Williams to hit .400.

BigTime Baseball podcast: Don Mattingly on why he thinks his Marlins are in the race to stay, and what he thinks of steroid guys on the HoF ballot. What deal Lindor seeks. GM on the hot seat (but doesn’t deserve to be). The 3rd best team. With @tonygwynn

Statement from Mike Clevinger:

Statement from Mike Clevinger:

Statement by Clevinger is pretty strong, as he acknowledges his biggest mistake was putting others, including teammates, at risk. The act itself though was brutal.

Good message from Lindor

My favorite Yankees beat reporter (and there is no second place)

Catching up on credit: @susanslusser 1st with Laureano ban

Indians place Mike Clevinger and Zach Plesac on the restricted list for breaking Covid protocols and going out in Chicago. Team taking it seriously, as it should.

I would have gone 2 games for Laureano, but 6 isn’t out of line considering he did charge a dugout. Just seems like Astros were more in the wrong — hitting Laureano twice, then egging him on — and it feels like 6 game ban for good player hurts worse than 20 for a coach.

Ramon Laureano got 6 games for charging Cintron/Astros dugout

Cintron earned that 20 game ban. A coach more than anyone needs to understand you can’t start a fight in a pandemic. Beyond that, Laureano had reason to be upset since he was hit twice.

Alex Cintron gets 20 game suspension for triggering brawl @BNightengale 1st

“You gotta look at the free agent pitching and there’s not a whole lot out there—Robbie Ray, James Paxton, Stroman—those are the biggest names on the free agent market” @MadDogUnleashed you guys don’t have to like him, but you can’t exclude @BauerOutage in that list 🤦🏻‍♀️

They forgot not only Bauer but also Minor and Tanaka as top free agent pitchers. Changes the argument quite a bit. (Luba is Bauer’s agent)
