Earlier, I asked how folk were doing amidst the current crisis. I got this from a serving cop:
"I’m exhausted. I’ve worked harder than normal, not able to take leave, seen my job vilified in the shitty media. I’ve had a headache for a week"
So to all police; a huge 'thank you'! https://t.co/4N74qaNR6H

  • @JohnNicholRAF John, the NHS has been praised, thanks given to shop keepers, delivery and postal workers acclaimed, but the police are stuck in the middle of government recommendations that are impossible to enact and a public who seem incapable of rational thought or action. Thank you police!

  • @JohnNicholRAF @dionadair Thank you @JohnNicholRAF for supporting our Police. As a serving Police Sergeant in Glasgow, I can vouch for how demanding, exhausting and relentless if has been during the CV19 lockdown. It’s a vocation, not just a job.

  • @JohnNicholRAF Cheers John, I'm ex RAF (snowdrop) and have been doing a PMART role dealing with the poor unfortunate souls that have succumbed to this awful illness. Haven't caught it yet and fingers crossed I won't.

  • @JohnNicholRAF I'll accept on behalf of my son. Currently on the C19 awareness and body bagging / recovery team. Done this way to avoid further demands on NHS resource.

@JohnNicholRAF What the police are being asked to do has turned the UK into a Police State. Two weeks back I sat on a step to give my dog some water and was told aggressively to move on. Not the officers fault but told to do this. Ridiculous
