The vast majority of the Republican Party is willing to condone treason if doing so protects their job or party. They have no morals or devotion to our Constitution but are craven opportunists no matter how they try to say differently. America lost today, lost big. So depressing.

(1) Trump’s lawyers will argue that Trump’s supporters on Jan 6 were not controlled by Trump.
(2) Republican Senators will vote to acquit because they believe that Trump’s supporters are highly controlled by Trump.
