Congress~ enact a law limiting the power of POTUS to issue secret pardons. Congress can pass a law saying that any pardon revealed after POTUS has left office will be presumed illegal. Shifting the burden of proof in this fashion is consistent with Article II, Section II. #pardon
Don’t trust the list. Trump doesn’t have to reveal the names of anyone he pardons. Trump can issue SECRET PARDONS. Trump can pardon himself & his family and keep that secret until they are charged with federal crimes.
WWWWHHHHOOOOAAAA... That is a different thing, entirely. https://t.co/SfkUqcKPee
@Amy_Siskind Amy, this is an unhelpful and inaccurate framing of what’s happening. The Senate is split 50-50. The committees are therefore split 50-50. Dems still set the agenda and tie votes in committee will be weighted to Dems, who are setting the agenda, from what I’m hearing.
The top two Senate leaders are nearing a power-sharing agreement to hash out how the divided chamber will operate, with Democrats in charge of setting the schedule but both parties likely to hold an equal number of seats on Senate committees, sources say https://t.co/LbtXLyA7iV
