It is estimated that the Boston Tea Party, the riot that gave birth to this country, resulted in $1.7 million dollars (in today’s dollars) in property damage (tea). I’m just going to leave this right here for whoever needs to read it.

  • @CharlesMBlow Amazing, when Caucasian American men in Charlottesville rioted over Confederate statues being removed, tear gas, rubber bullets, and noise grenades weren't used against them.

  • @CharlesMBlow I am adding this link to your thread because the lies most have been taught about the Boston Tea Party do not help understand what really happened AND what the offenders tried to make it look like. The first photo tells a big part of the truth https://t.co/viB0CX6jz3

  • @CharlesMBlow They taught us in school that the Boston Tea Party (rioting) was how you emancipated yourself and asserted your freedom so what's the problem now?

  • @CharlesMBlow Idk, these scenes remind me more of the 60s. When the gov't would send undercovers into peaceful protests to destroy property and start violence. Wouldn't be surprised if that was the case here. Start fires, stir shit, then blame protesters and let loose.

@CharlesMBlow Let the tea flow. If property damage needs to be done to make change, so be it.
