I am not unique. Support groups have sprung up all over the internet because medical science doesn’t know what to do with the hundreds of thousands of Covid patients who don’t get better in the (utter and complete bullshit, and they know it) CDC guidelines of 2-6 weeks. 2/

NEW: Three Colorado officers have been fired and one has stepped down after a photo surfaced of three officers mocking the police killing of #ElijahMcClain. https://t.co/1AOpDNt6in

Hey, so, I got #Covid19 in March. I’ve been sick for over 3 months w/ severe respiratory, cardiovascular & neurological symptoms. I still have a fever. I’ve been incapacitated for nearly a season of my life. It's not enough to not die. You don’t want to live thru this, either. 1/

Here's Covid when you don't die from it. Stay home. Wear masks. https://t.co/Kwe4p6WKe4

Being a hacker is a skill set and a mindset, not a legal status.

As a diver, I am too chicken to dive in caves but have snorkeled in them & they are wondrous. Imagine making a massive archeological discovery while cave diving? https://t.co/nKpOAMvTKS

1/2 Hey @mcgillu: I hear you've invited Steven Pinker to give the 2020 Beatty lecture. This is the face you want representing McGill for its 200th anniversary? You know there are lots of great thinkers who seem to have no trouble avoiding the private jets of sex offenders, right? https://t.co/JRTgR77FXR

I am not happy about this either. And following two such outstanding women on top of it, @rgay and @JaneGoodallInst https://t.co/aP6kkhjwWE

One of the most thoughtful pieces/interviews I've read on national reactions/overreactions/lack of effective responses to Covid by @ccaduff (interviewed by @yarimarbonilla). https://t.co/pQZGmA4DJT

Esto está excelentisimo. Javier recomienda. https://t.co/gAMXOZum1M

Whether masks or the military, there is not a single moment when the virus's impact and force can be understood outside of culture, society, and politics. It is bio-politics all the way down as this interview shows so well.

"Especially in France, Italy, and India, it took an extremely militarized form and became a curfew, and thus a law-and-order intervention executed by the police."

"And then it took different forms in different places. In the United States, the lockdown was not the same as in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, South Africa, France, Italy, or India."

"When you look at the politics of the pandemic, very often in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Brazil, it’s left-wing thinkers who are in favor of the lockdown. In countries like India, France, and Italy, it’s the left who’s been concerned about the lockdown."

Here a cross-society/cultural perspective brings into sharp relief the politics and especially the differential politics undergirding the reactions and responses. Carlo wrote the anthro book on pandemics, which I also recommend https://t.co/t0JbQsMVyu

I don't have the heart to link to two pieces/ arguments that contradict each other and just boost the TL's presence but you've all seen it, right?

How do identify thought leaders: change their arguments to fit with the times. Argue x when x is working, argues y when y is working, simply to make themselves relevant. It's so annoying especially when they are ... academics.
