Looking back through butterfly photos from this year and I found this. A crab spider on a buttercup captured a double lunch of 2 green veined whites, Actually I didn't see the spider in real life (camouflaged and dodgy eyesight) just 2 static GVWs. #Monkwood https://t.co/10wvIiJUkm

Finally managed to get my first Painted Lady of the season today at Trench Wood, Worcs. Thanks to the gentleman doing his count who pointed me in the direction of this beauty. @WorcsWT @savebutterflies @BC_WestMids https://t.co/UhWA31KS7D

Great to see this female Brown Hairstreak - albeit a bit battered - in Grafton Wood this morning. It was low down on bramble at the junction of the main ride and the ride leading down to the old pool. https://t.co/HNYK5LUkjN

Filling my boots with small coppers (metaphorically speaking)🦋🤏👮. Well they have been absent from my life for so long so why not. [Portrait please click].

A great set of photos from @ento_bea of the Clifden Nonpareil she found today. Thanks for sharing 👍 @savebutterflies @ShropsWildlife #mothsmatter #teammoth https://t.co/vwYLSCB7mP

In my trap in Shropshire this morning - may have terrified the neighbours by running around screaming in my dressing gown, but completely justifiable! A Clifden nonpareil, an immigrant moth species that is resident in some parts of southern England. A moth-ers dream!! https://t.co/H9ZyBG9fKk

Whilst sorting out the garden, I inadvertently disturbed this hibernating Peacock. No harm done... it flew off to the buddleia and fed up a bit more😅 #FascinatingInvertebratesWeekend ⁦@BC_WestMids⁩ ⁦@WorcsWT⁩ ⁦@Britnatureguide⁩ https://t.co/p4j5q7mzAI

Small tortoiseshell butterfly on white buddleia 🦋

(I’m so pleased the pollinators are enjoying the buddleia plants I bought for the garden 😊)

I rather liked the simplicity of this - which for me is a very unusual statement.

A West Midland garden tick doesn’t get much better than this. Well spotted @CJoseph81703790 Could you DM us with some location details for the record please? https://t.co/0Y6aOORjim

Monster Moth. A big thank you to Mike Southall for letting us see his Clifden Nonpareil today prior to release. They’re incredible moths and hopefully we shall see more now we know that they are now breeding in the region.
