Yes there are 7 tropical storms in the West Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico, this is not normal, and Hurricane Sally is close to making landfall, https://t.co/la5vtQFmE2

The question is why is this hurricane season so busy ? https://t.co/J7r7ZUBbMI

There have been a few reports of a dust devils today (like a mini twister), They are usually several metres in diameter at the base, then narrowing for a short distance before expanding again. They mainly occur in hay fields and start on the ground and grow upwards. DB https://t.co/2g9og918S7

Flooded fields in Cornwall and flooded roads in many other parts of the south west too, the heavy rain is now clearing Somerset and Dorset moving eastwards, but it will be followed by some heavy showers tonight and tomorrow

Weather warnings for strong winds once again today as Storm Francis whips up some big waves - tomorrow looks calmer at least, with some sunshine, but be aware of potential for gusts up to 70mph particularly around coasts and over hills this afternoon and tonight. https://t.co/HEzkWjm1eO
