Quoted @RudyGiuliani

How about we keep the Party of Lincoln, Reagan and Trump and the traitors leave. https://t.co/5l9XVVZfMt

Don’t leave your Oxford commas at home, kids. https://t.co/AedKa8Y1bf

Oxford commas matter. https://t.co/ZaTfOxOkyS

According to this reporting, Congresswoman @mtgreenee’s Facebook account repeatedly liked posts calling for killing FBI agents. She needs to be investigated and removed from office. https://t.co/hgx9aGEBP6

Today, I made clear that if Democrats ever attack the key Senate rules, it would drain the consent and comity out of the institution. A scorched-earth Senate would hardly be able to function. It wouldn’t be a progressive’s dream. It would be a nightmare. I guarantee it.

The dissonance of appealing to comity while threatening rampant obstruction if he doesn’t get his way reveals how McConnell has always used lofty notions and appeals to tradition to cover for his crass power plays. He knows Dems can take away his power and he’s off his game. https://t.co/8PGOVKsyKl

So excited to join @JoyceWhiteVance, @AshaRangappa_ , and @BarbMcQuade as a @cafedotcom contributor! Thanks to @PreetBharara for bringing us together! Check out my first note--a short essay on women, leadership, and the last three Wednesdays--below! https://t.co/lSKy13YqqN

All but 5 Senate Republicans think it's unconstitutional to convict a president who incited an attempted overthrow of the U.S. government. Never forget that.

My name is Phil Arballo. Today I'm announcing my campaign against Republican Devin Nunes. I'm a Democrat, Latino, Central Valley Native, a father, and a husband -- and I'm going to win. Please visit the link in bio to join us so we can rid California of Trump's #1 stooge.

I questioned @JonathanTurley in the last #impeachment proceeding & made him eat his own words

Wish I could do the same right now as he talks to the GOP caucus. He's saying Senate can't try an ex-president.

Baloney! He used to say the EXACT opposite: https://t.co/sNxgQrxsum https://t.co/BwiX36bk3M

Josh Hawley had some fascinating opinions about the Oklahoma City bombing at 15 years old.

Democrats in DC say they want unity. They don’t want unity. They want total control. Control of what we say, what we think, and who we support. And they are working in lockstep with Big Tech and Big corporations to silence us. https://t.co/WsY4qKkdoN

What strikes me about @HawleyMO is his utter lack of resilience. Having encountered an obstacle in his plan to run for president in 2024 (which he’s had since 8th grade, according to the Kansas City Star), his answer isn’t to regroup with grace, but to have a complete meltdown https://t.co/XcrKP1pZcR

Right on cue. In this Dec. @latimes piece, I warned that Trump would try and act as a "shadow president." https://t.co/5oLPPpAQ8L https://t.co/YbqDznaCiq

Alexander Hamilton would agree. He wrote: “The hope of impunity, is a strong incitement to sedition: the dread of punishment, a proportionably strong discouragement to it.” Like I said in @PostOpinions: https://t.co/qc6b36mKUy https://t.co/jc6Htyp8eb

sometimes gets obscured in talk about political effects, but Jan 6 insurrection was a crime of enormous magnitude against the people of the United States

Have Republicans explained why it’s “too late” to try Trump but it was OK to keep alive their objections on the “merits” to Pennsylvania’s certification, even that lawsuit was dismissed for...being brought too late? Just trying to find out the governing principle

THREE: A failed coup attempt is the ONLY type of coup for which an official cd be held accountable, at least in the near term. If trump had succeeded, we'd be unable to hold him accountable. Obviously, we don't have to wait for a coup to succeed before doing something about it!

First the Republicans said you couldn’t impeach before an election. Now they’re saying you can’t impeach after an election. And some of them say you can’t have elections.

Quoted @kaitlancollins

Trump has now established the "Office of the Former President," which is run by former White House aides and "will be responsible for managing President Trump’s correspondence, public statements, appearances, and official activities" from Palm Beach, Florida.

We are paying for this. The Former President’s Act funds an office and a staff for former presidents. (This benefit is lost if a President’s service in office ends bc of removal due to impeachment, but given how it’s worded this clause may not apply to Trump even if convicted) https://t.co/L6oPan8hxZ

Quoted @steve_vladeck

Last I checked, Donald Trump *was* impeached by the House while he was the President. Twice. https://t.co/Zdc2vyDRo2

Also, it’s worth noting that in criminal law, the statute of limitations is the time period in which *charges* must be brought, not for the trial to be completed. It would only make sense that the analogous limitation on the end of term, if any, would apply to bringing articles https://t.co/WNQIKNvNHz
