The name’s Cummings, Dominic Cummings, driving licence to kill. Yes, the visionless visionary is getting back behind the wheel, this time to tour the country’s top secret locations.

Michel Barnier has now replied to that ERG letter led by Mark Francois.

...and there are some lovely bits of dry humour in this reply. Enjoy. https://t.co/AA3btD9xNr

@Anna_Soubry @campbellclaret Government Coronavirus Action Plan, 3 March 2020: "Among those who become infected, some will exhibit no symptoms." Did the PM and Hancock not read their own action plan? https://t.co/4xO2bIM5V7

Plain and simple #BorisJohnson is trying to rewrite #COVID19 history. There’s another word to describe it. Lying. #carehomes #PMQs

Labour leader Keir Starmer says: “The PM and his Health Secretary must be the only people in this country who think they put a protective ring around care homes. The rest of the country knows that wasn’t the case”. At least 20,000 people died from coronavirus in care homes.

Was @BorisJohnson blaming care homes when he said care homes "didn't really follow the procedures in the way they could have"? This morning @AlokSharma_RDG told me that what he meant is that "there were no procedures at the time" which is a little different isn't it ? #r4today

'It's not the case they weren't following the guidelines, in their view, the guidelines were impossible to follow.' @itvnews correspondent @PaulBrandITV says care homes were facing 'factors beyond their control' over PPE and hospital discharges. @piersmorgan | @susannareid100 https://t.co/WwHQgmSjhB

"To get perhaps the most senior man in the country turning around and blaming them for what has been an absolute travesty of leadership from the Government, I just think it's appalling." Mark Adams, CEO of the charity Community Integrated Care #R4Today https://t.co/T0XDA5WQHY

Quoted @GMB

'The PM's comments are insulting and despicable.' @susannareid100 reads out the reaction from a care home worker after Boris Johnson said care homes didn't follow proper procedures amid the coronavirus pandemic. @piersmorgan | #GMB https://t.co/tcwvZhBQe4

The Govt is under an absolute duty to put its morning media Minister @AlokSharma_RDG on @GMB to respond. But as ever they run scared. Viewers (voters) will not forgive nor forget the incompetence, the lies & cowardice of this Govt. @piersmorgan @susannareid100 #COVID https://t.co/q7LbPLi0c1

Boris Johnson blaming care homes for the care home epidemic HIS negligence caused is beyond contempt.

No10 desperately trying to clarify PM's remarks. But on this topic of all topics, it seems extraordinary his line needs clarifying at all. His words felt like another part of the pre public inquiry softening up exercise (similar to briefings against PHE and even Sage).

Says he's been calling for months for weekly or twice weekly testing of care homes, and weekly testing has only just been approved by @MattHancock

2/2 We correctly invested in more ICU facilities and so on-now we should do the same for mental health services esp for most vulnerable-severe mental illness, minorities etc. It’s not just needing to catch up as elsewhere in NHS it’s the true increased numbers caused by the crisis
